Verizon careers
social media

For the past few years, BNO has exclusively led and managed social media efforts for Verizon’s Recruitment Marketing team and Verizon Careers channels. Helping this client to be responsible for the strategy and success of a multinational brand with over 1.2M LinkedIn followers has been a massive point of pride for our agency, especially as engagement, impressions, and followership has continued to grow. Given our success over the past year, BNO has also been given the opportunity to grow the brand’s presence on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter.

I’ve worked on this brand alongside copywriters and creative directors for a year and a half now, and there’s so much work that I’m proud to have concepted and produced.

ENGAGING INSTAGRAM STORIES

In November 2021, BNO was challenged to find more engaging ways to utilize IG stories with a careers focus. We decided to introduce a poll, as I felt it would be fun for viewers to see how their responses compare to others, and how certain career qualities align with select roles that Verizon is actively hiring for. Since a simple swipe up leads them to open roles, the stories would lend accessibility to the concept of “Choose Your Own Adventure.”

Our engagement and clickthrough rates nearly doubled after poll introduction.

Given the success of our original poll concept, BNO has created many more concepts that utilize engagement stickers and help Verizon to celebrate monthly events. As an avid consumer of ASMR content for 10+ years, I had hoped that soothing sounds that our viewers could rate and appreciate would be the perfect addition to help Verizon recognize Mental Health Awareness month.

Turn your sound on to enjoy.

LinkedIn Motion Graphics

Across all platforms, BNO has encouraged the Verizon Careers channels to move into more dynamic and authentic territory. This means creating “thumb-stopping” content like trompe l’oeil posts (left) and illustrated animations (right) that showcase actual benefits and company highlights. We know that motion graphics and animations keep our audience engaged with our content for just a bit longer — and by making Verizon’s amazing benefits stand out from all of the static posts on LinkedIn, we’re giving them the best possible chance to shine.
